Why be a Life Coach?

So, why would anyone want be an Intuitive Life Coach?

Interesting question.  It took me a very long time to figure that one out.  The irony here is that when I look back on my life so far, I’ve been in the people-inspiring business pretty much all my life.  I am at my best and am my happiest when I have helped someone come to an understanding of themselves they did not have previously.  It’s the best thing ever.

I know there are very many ways to tap into that part of us that remembers our child-like joy and fearlessness.  Before I really understood my gifts for intuition and communication, I tapped into that part of me with dance.  As a dancer I performed, taught dance to others, and helped run the companies and schools I was a part of.  It was a wonderful, creative part of my life that will always be an important part of who I am.  When time and injuries made it necessary to leave the world of dance, I turned my people helping skills to everything else I’ve ever done.  Every job I’ve worked, I’ve ended up managing and teaching others.  I can’t seem to help myself, really.

There is something inside me that has kept me interested in humanity, and wanting to help others, even during the most difficult times in my life.  That “something” is my deep intuition which has never abandoned me, despite my many efforts to ignore it.  Now that I live by the dictates of this sense of mine, I want to share the benefits of living a life of self-examination, mindfulness, and passion.  I want to share my sense of belonging to something that is larger than myself.  I want others to know that living every day feeling genuinely comfortable in one’s own skin is the best way to live, and I want to help others know how to feel good in their own skin.

It took climbing over my own mountains of self-doubt and fear to be in a place where I now feel I have wisdom to offer.  It hasn’t been a real easy course, because I’ve done it pretty much on my own until the last handful of years.  Since then I’ve worked with some wonderful life coaches, mediums, channels, tarot readers and astrologists.  They have helped me become the person I am today. I intend to keep working with other professionals in my field, because each of us brings something unique to their work.

I will always be a student of art, history, sociology, and science.  I will always want to travel and learn about how other folks live.  I will always want to work on my own inner landscape.  And as long as I keep learning, I want to keep sharing what I learn.  What could be better than that?
